About
About Paneherd
Paneherd is made by one person, Eren Çolak, an independent developer. It started because running several AI coding agents at once in the integrated terminal meant guessing which one was waiting for approval, and hitting usage limits without warning.
What I make
- Paneherd: a VS Code and Cursor extension that runs Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Gemini CLI agents side by side, with one inbox for Claude Code permission prompts and a phone remote. Free for up to four panes; Pro is $2.99, once.
- Claude Code & Codex Usage Meter: a separate, free, MIT-licensed status bar extension. Source: github.com/erenxcolakx/usage-meter.
How the guides are written
The guides explain what Claude Code and Codex document and what I saw in my own use. Where a number comes from a vendor page, the page links to it with the date it was checked, and where a claim is only what I observed, it says so. Every page says that I make Paneherd, and the comparison pages say where the other tool is better.
Where to get it and what changed
Paneherd is published on the VS Code Marketplace and on Open VSX (for VSCodium and other editors). Every release has a dated entry in the changelog on the extension page, and the repository's issue tracker is the place for bug reports. Fixes usually ship as small releases: for example, one release made slash commands sent to a pane press Enter once instead of several times, and another made the phone remote show long messages whole instead of cut off.
Where to start
- All guides: setup, Windows, running Claude Code and Codex together.
- Comparisons: Paneherd next to Conductor, cmux, Claude Squad, Superset and the built-in VS Code agent sessions, including where each is better.
- Claude Code usage limits and Codex CLI usage limits: what the vendors document, with the date each figure was checked.
Independence
Paneherd is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Anysphere or Google. It uses your own agent plans and does not proxy or resell model access. The extensions have no account and no telemetry; see the privacy policy.
